HPTU Exam Helper

HPTU Exam Helper was created with a simple goal: to make theory content for university syllabi easily accessible and organized in one place. Initially focusing on the B.Tech CSE syllabus, the plan is to expand content for MCA and other departments as well. In addition to syllabus content, the platform is working on providing past question papers with solutions, all accessible from one location to support students in their exam preparation.

The initial launch of the site featured a static layout with structured content from the syllabus. Although limited in interactivity, this first version set the foundation for a centralized resource for students.

Version 2 brought significant updates:

  • Remote Content (No more static): Transitioned to a system where content is served remotely, making it easier to update and manage.
  • Improved Search: Enhanced search functionality to allow students to find topics more quickly.
  • Comment System: A comment feature was introduced to encourage discussions around specific topics.
  • Minor UI Tweaks: Various adjustments were made to improve user experience.

HPTU Exam Helper V3 (Site Current Version)

Release Date: September 6, 2024
In Version 3, the site saw more interactive and user-driven changes:

  • Article Contributions: Users could now contribute articles or suggest modifications to existing content, allowing for a more community-driven approach.
  • Feedback Component: Each article now included a feedback section for quality improvements.
  • UI Redesign: A refreshed interface made navigation and content readability better.
  • Enhanced Search: Search functionality was further refined to improve relevance.
  • Removed Comment System: After analyzing user behavior, the comment system was removed.
  • Question Papers and Solutions: Past question papers, along with solutions, were finally added to support students' exam prep.

  • Web Search Integration (Powered by AI): Search the web for relevant sites related to the selected topic.
  • YouTube Video Search (Powered by AI): Find relevant YouTube videos for the topic and provide links for students to access.
  • File Uploads: Users can upload custom PDF, DOCX, and PPT files and engage in AI-based discussions based on file content.
  • Image Upload and Analysis: Allows image uploads to receive AI-generated responses, particularly useful for math questions.

  • Coding Platform: Similar to popular platforms like GeeksforGeeks and LeetCode, this feature will allow students to solve Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) questions directly on the site.
  • Practice Problems: A collection of DSA questions will be available for students to practice and improve their coding skills.
  • Real-Time Code Evaluation: Students will be able to write and test their code with instant feedback, helping them identify areas for improvement.
